“I came across Mike at Urban Fitness while searching for HYROX-specific training to prepare for HYROX Sydney in the Open category. After a trial session, Mike suggested I aim higher and enter the Pro category. My first thought was, "There's no way - I'm a full time working mum with a young family. I don't have hours a day to train, let alone do double sessions." But Mike and his team showed me more isn't always better. With his guidance, I committed to the Pro category and surprisingly spent less time in the gym - one HYROX specific class per week.

The real shift came with a focus on running. I started with one run a week and gradually built up to three, I had to learn to trust the process and not every work out needs to leave you gasping for air and that building a solid aerobic base was key.

Thanks to Mike's coaching, smart programming and belief in me, I achieved something I never thought possible by qualifying for the HYROX World Championships. Urban Fitness isn't just a gym, it's a place that challenges limits and supports real life balance.”
